AFCAT 01/2023 Branch Wise Eligibility Details

Age Limit (as on 01-07-2023)

 

For Flying Branch:
  • Minimum Age: 20 Years
  • Maximum Age: 24 Years
  • Candidates born between 02-07-1999 to 01-07-2003 (both dates inclusive)
For Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical) Branch:
  • Minimum Age: 20 Years
  • Maximum Age: 26 Years
  • Candidates born between 02-07-1997 to 01-07-2003 (both dates inclusive).

 

Qualification

  • Candidates should have passed with a minimum of 50% marks each in Maths and Physics at 10+2 level and
  • Graduation (any Disciplines) or BE/B Tech degree or Candidates who have cleared Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India in relevant Engg disciplines
  • Degree or PG Degree (Relevant Subjects).

 

  • Flying Branch – Atleast 50% marks each in Maths and Physics at 10+2 level and Graduation with minimum three years degree course in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent. OR BE/B Tech degree (Four years course) from a recognised University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent. OR Candidates who have cleared Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognised University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.

Ground Duty (Technical) Branch:

  • Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) {AE (L)}. – Candidates with a minimum of 50% marks each in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level and a minimum of four years degree graduation/integrated post-graduation qualification in Engineering/ Technology from recognized University OR cleared Sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India or Graduate membership examination of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers by actual studies with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent in the following disciplines:- (aaa) Communication Engineering.   • Education – Passed 10+2 and Post-Graduation with 50% in any discipline including integrated courses offering PG (Single degree without permission to exit and lateral entry) and with 60% marks in Graduation in any discipline.
  •  Logistics – Graduate Degree (Minimum three year degree course) in any discipline from a recognised university with 60% marks or equivalent or cleared section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognised university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.

NCC Special Entry (Flying Branch)

  • NCC Air Wing Senior Division ‘C’ certificate acquired on or after 01 Dec 17. Minimum of 60% marks each in Maths and Physics at 10+2. Graduates with minimum three years degree course in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent OR BE/B Tech degree (Four years course) from a recognised University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent OR Candidates who have cleared Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognised University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.

AFCAT 2 SELECTION PROCESS 2022

Candidates who submit their applications will be called for:

  1. AFCAT written examination
  2. Officers Intelligence Rating Test & Picture Perception and Discussion test, Psychological test
  3. Group tests / Interviews.

AFCAT Exam Pattern 2023

The exam pattern for each of the stages is given below.

  • 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect/wrong answer.
  • For each correct answer, 3 marks will be allowed.
  • No deduction of marks will be done for un-attempted questions.

Qualified Candidates of AFCAT will appear for the next round that is AFSB (Air Force Selection Board) Testing.

  • Stage I is a screening test. It includes the Officer Intelligence rating Test and Picture Perception and Discussion Test.
  • The candidates who qualify Stage I Test are eligible to undergo Stage II.
  • Stage II Test is conducted for five days. It includes Psychological Tests, Group Tests (Indoor and outdoor activities), Interview, CPSS (Computerised Pilot Selection System) test.
  • If you are recommended by the Selection Board, you will have a medical examination.
  • And the final merit list will be released.

AFCAT Written Exam Pattern 2022

  • AFCAT 2022 is an online test, conducted in two shifts in the English language.
  • It will consist of 100 objective questions to be solved within a duration of 120 minutes.
  • The maximum mark an aspirant can score in AFCAT 2022 is 300 marks.
